Bill Hussung recently sent me a copy of his documentary Adventures of an Earthling. Due to a remarkable sighting his mother had, Hussung went in search of UFOs in the Hudson Valley.
Within the first few minutes David Jacobs showed up and I almost turned it off. I am glad that I didn't because he was only a very small part of the entire film. You could totally skip those few parts he is in and not miss anything important.
There is some interesting footage of an unidentified light that seems to come down and land in the woods. Lots of interesting stories from people, not all about UFOs or typical aliens, also Mothman, fairy like creatures and lizard men.
My favorite part was with Phil Imbrogno and they explored ancient stone chambers thought by some to be gateways to other dimensions.
Something else I found interesting was that Hussung describes his mother as being "new agey" and that she had used Ouija Boards and often looked for UFOs, but when she did finally see this huge UFO it terrified her. In the film she says something like be careful of what you search for because you just may find it. I have wondered before why some people are terrified of UFOs and other people aren't. I wondered if she felt some sort of threatening vibe from it or if it was just that seeing something that huge and strange that frightened her?
Anyhow, overall an entertaining documentary and I would suggest that anyone that has an interest in UFOs, but especially the Pine Bush/Hudson Valley sightings check it out!

Yep, she is still the same
OK, if I had any prophetic dreams last night (as my horoscope promised) I don't remember them. Nor did I have any visions. Figures!
The good news is that you are stuck with the same old Lesley because if that other part wasn't right, neither is the part that said I would never be the same again.
The only thing I learned yesterday is that I don't like techno music. We went to our normal spot and the "band," not that you can really call them that since they had no instruments, drove us out after the first drink and even though we paid a $5 cover - each. Maybe that crap is great on Ecstasy, but it didn't work for me last night, it only gave me a headache.

Through the Keyhole and onto Dreams and Visions
Believe it or not, I was finally talked into being on a radio show. Nancy Wallace talked me into it and I was on Through the Keyhole yesterday. As you probably know, I will do almost anything to help promote the conference and Nancy thought it would help. Luckily, I was on with Nancy and Norio Hayakawa and didn't need to talk much. Also, helped that Karyn is such a great host! It was fun! That said, don't expect me to be making the rounds on podcasts. I think Nancy and Norio would have been fine without me.

You know you're intuitive, Scorpio, but changes could take place in your brain that elevate your abilities beyond mere intuition. Visions, prophetic dreams, and powerful insights into others' thoughts and feelings could reveal you to be a gifted psychic. If you've been training your abilities, this should come as no surprise, but the level of your gifts will. You will never be the same.If I remember any of my "prophetic dreams" or have any visions I will let you know. Hopefully I won't be too different by Sunday. ;-)

Stupid Drug Law and Kids
Over at Barf Stew, Rick has a post: Marijuana Bust - A Kid's Perspective. This brought to mind something that happened to someone I knew years ago and still bothers me to this day -
Back in the early 1990s, I was managing a fast food restaurant. Working for me was a wonderful 16 year old girl who I will call Katy. Katy was smart, fun and most of the time happy. She was also a great employee, always there on time and did a great job. I soon came to learn from her that her parents were crack addicts and dealers (to support their habit). There also seemed something odd between her and her stepfather, though she swore there wasn't. As would be expected the police eventually raided their house. Yes, that I had expected and them arresting the parents. What I didn't expect was that they would arrest Katy too and send her to juvenile jail for months!
Here we had a situation where the authorities could have maybe helped a child, but they didn't. Why? Because there was some crack in her bedroom or something like that. Actually, I think there were some sort of drugs (probably pot) in her purse. Whatever it was, they in no way took into consideration the situation she was in. It upset me then and it still upsets me because I will sometimes see a similar story on the news where a house was raided and adults and their children (teens) are arrested. I don't understand why teens are arrested in these situations. They are still minors and to my knowledge we don't arrest 5 year olds because their parents broke the law -- doesn't matter if there is crack hidden in their belongings.

Dead People and Facebook
About two weeks ago, my friend Robert passed away. I never actually met Robert in person, but I had known him since I first started writing at BoA (about 6 years ago) and we emailed several times a week. Anyhow, for some reason for the last couple days he keeps showing up on my profile page on fb in my friends. I have over 1000 friends on facebook and since they upgraded it I have noticed that it is the people that I communicate with the most and most recently that show up on my profile page. Of all those "friends" there are only about 25 that seem to rotate on my profile page. So it seems odd that Robert keeps showing up there since obviously I haven't posted on his page or he visited mine in about 2 weeks. Even when he was alive we communicated mostly with email and only very rarely facebook. Well, and every once in a while Jerry E. Smith shows up there and Jerry passed away over a year ago. Yet, there are literally over 1000 people that never show up there. Just weird.
