Something that irritates me...
People on twitter that keep their tweets private so that only followers can see them. These people friend me, but I never friend back because I can't see their tweets to know what kind of person I am friending. At least on facebook I can see our mutual friends and the friending person's info page.
But what really irritates me about it is that I don't understand the reason. It can't be privacy because lets face it - the government (if they care about your private tweets) can probably view them just as easily as mine. Twitter is still feeding your info to advertisers and whoever else. Also, anyone that was really interested in your tweets could find someone to hack into them or probably just send you a friend request. So what is the purpose of that??? It isn't like you even have to use your real name on twitter, so you can't say you are worried about your employment or whatever else. Give me a reason!
Things that also bother me:
People that use the term "truthseeker" as their last name on twitter or facebook. Gag! It is bad enough that you won't use your real name, but to try to make yourself sound like some sort of superhero John Truthseeker is just kind of egotistical and gross. Hey, guess what? We are all truth seekers in our own way.
Lastly, people that use a deity as their avatar. Not entirely sure why that bothers me, but it doesn't matter if it is Jesus, Buddha or any other God like being - I roll my eyes at those peeps.
Obviously, nothing esoteric to say tonight. :-)

When I was in grade school and (I think) before he became a Senator for NM, Harrison Schmitt spoke at my school. I still remember it as being really cool and remember the first question being - how and where do astronauts go to the bathroom? :-)

The Rite and Black Eyed People
I am not sure what the reason is, but for the past week or so I have been having strange dreams and I actually remembered them. Most of the time I am lucky to remember 1 dream per week, but I have been remembering every day lately. One that I had the night after watching "The Rite" was kind of frightening and had to do with black eyed people (rather than black eyed children). Some of these dreams, like the one I had after watching "The Rite" I feel are warnings to me. That dream was actually about someone I know and the following day I read the excerpt of Jon Ronson's upcoming book on Psychopaths and frankly the two fit together way too easily. Never easy to admit that someone you are related to might be a psychopath (even if certain people in your family have told you that for years), but there is one person in my family that I will continue to keep a distance from. Some of you that are closer to me will know who I am talking about, but it doesn't really matter. He is just a person that fits into all to criteria mentioned in that article, which may or possibly may not describe a true psychopath. Without a doubt it does describe someone that is troubled and could be dangerous.

Happy Rapture Day!
The rapture day is pretty full for me. I have a UFO group meeting w/ special guest speaker Chuck Wade. After that I will go grab some grub with the UFOies at Applebees (apparently the only place that can accommodate a group that size on Sat afternoon). A few errands to run and then I will make sure I am back in time to clink a glass with the other post rapture peeps on facebook.
Since I am not worried that I will lose anyone that reads this blog to the rapture - I wish you all a great day and I will see you (virtually) on Sunday. :-)
