The Chemtrail-Contrail Post - The Plain Sight Anomaly
I liked this post because normally I see the totally white planes, but there is a least one of the orange type mentioned in this post that I see quite often. It is normally too high up for me to get a good look at, but at the very least the tail portion is orange. Don't know why I can never find binoculars when I need them. Anyhow, I hadn't realized that others also see orange ones.

Writing babble
I reined myself in and forced myself to accomplish what I had hoped to accomplish over the weekend. It is done! I can go back to normal! Well, and I have proved that even with summer nipping at my brain -- I can force myself to concentrate if I really need to. Of course, certain things suffered. For example, I skipped the monthly UFO meeting. Well, I didn't wake up in time for the meeting, but I could have made the last hour or so of Applebees afterward, if I had tried, but instead I concentrated on my tasks. Even with my concentrating it took until just a little while ago to finish. Grey Matters was fairly easy, my main sticking pointing being what to ask Tessa Dick in my UFO Mag interview. I had to really think about that and somewhat assume that many UFO Mag readers would not be familiar with Philip K. Dick. Well, one would hope they would have seen Blade Runner and other movies based on his work, but to know about him -- no, I had to go with the very basics. That said, I still managed to ask some questions that I really wanted to know the answers to and I think won't be lost on someone that has never heard of him or Tessa. Perhaps in a future interview I can ask Tessa more in depth and obsessive fan questions. :-)
OK, now I can go back to my silly daily things, like facebook apps. At least until next weekend when I will have to have to make sure I have a new Grey Matters for the week, but at least I have several weeks before needing to come up with a new UFO Mag column.

Clear, Alien Footage Stuns UFO Researchers
I do not normally link to stories supplied by All News Web, but I have made an exception. Not because I suppose this to be "the real thing" (not that it is totally out of the question, but still very unlikely), but because it is just plain fun.

You're Sweet Because You're Kind |
You believe that this can be a hard life and a cruel world, so you cut others lots of slack. You think the way to cultivate kindness is to be kind. And you are one of the nicest people around. You tend to believe in forgiving and forgetting. It's easier said than done, but you're pretty good at it. You think that in the end, nothing is as big a deal as it seems. People need to let go more. |

Announcing the Center for UFO Truthiness
CUT is not a UFO organization nor is it affiliated in any way with Ufology. Instead CUT is a historical research organization focused on examining the question long ignored by historians - was the UFO subject purposely created by the United States and its allies as part of a cold war operation and perpetuated to this day for national security reasons?
So what that says to me is that CUT is just another UFOlogy person or possibly group (he/they can say it isn't, UFO only means unidentified flying object, not alien craft) with an agenda to prove it's own theories, much like Exopolitics. Likely, like other such agenda driven groups he/they will ignore any evidence that conflicts with his/their theory. Oh yes, he/they will say that he/they don't, but everyone says that and they still do.
OK, I will quit using he/they, but since I know nobody else that is a member of this "group" it seems like a person, rather than an actual group.
CUT will focus its efforts on research in official government archives, not only in the United States but all over the world, searching for authenticated official documents that can prove or disprove this theory. CUT will work closely with Cold War and Intelligence Historians and collaborate with foreign governments willing to contribute to CUT's efforts.
CUT will work outside of the three ring circus that is Ufology and will not accept the contributions of anonymous individuals or alleged whistleblowers nor will it examine alleged leaked documents.
Is he really trying to make it sound as though researching official government archives is something new? What has John Greenewald, Richard Dolan, Nick Redfern, Larry Bryant, along with many others been doing all these years? I have no problem with researching such things, but I am not sure why he thinks that he is going to get something that others have been unable to get. I also don't understand why he thinks the government would be willing to admit, by making documents available, to what would be a massive hoax (according to his theory) that they have continued for many years.
Oh yes, and then there is the "three ring circus" of UFOlogy, to which he seems determined to add a fourth ring to because he considers his efforts better than what is going on in the other 3, even though to everyone looking on it is basically the same.
Won't even examine alleged leaked documents? That seems a bit harsh, especially if you consider there may be ways to authenticate them. It seems to me that they should at least be examined enough to figure out whether they could be authenticated. Same with whistleblowers, as long as they aren't anonymous there may be some way to find others that would back up or disprove their story. Of course, neither of those things would be proof to anyone that didn't want to believe. Really even an authenticated government document stating that Roswell (or name the ufo case) was a government conspiracy to scare the Russians wouldn't prove that all UFO sighting and all UFO cases were hoaxes by the government. I seriously doubt they would ever find a document declaring every UFO ever seen or reported was a government hoax, which leaves us in the same square we started from.
At this point, I am left feeling rather stupid. I actually liked James Carrion a lot when he took over MUFON -- I even joined it for one year and you all know how much I loathe organized groups. Lately, his constant cuts (I guess CUT is the perfect name for his group) at UFOlogy and not just certain parts, but generalization which includes all of us, makes me feel betrayed. Betrayed not only as someone involved in UFOlogy, but as someone that has seen things that she can't explain. You see, I have never believed that all or any of the crafts I have seen are necessarily flown by aliens from another planet (not that it is out of the question). In fact, I have always thought that even if aliens do exist, the craft I have seen are more likely to be secret military craft -- because I live very near a military base and NM is full of military bases, it just makes sense. That said, I don't believe they were purely a hoax to try to make me and/or others believe that aliens do exist. Whatever they were they were real and on occasions witnessed by others and not just me and they defy our current understanding of gravity and flight. Sorry, but I am not a believer in Project Blue Beam. I know enough about lasers and optics to know under what conditions such a concept might work, but it would not be possible anywhere at any time.
Aside from all of that -- whenever someone declares all of UFOlogy to be crap and themselves to somehow have some overlooked answer or theory (the church lady - I am better than you are syndrome) it plain pisses me off. I have been involved in UFOlogy long enough to know (and probably longer than James Carrion) that there are some crazies and some liars, but there is no reason to paint everyone with that broad brush, unless, you are using that to make yourself look better, instead of using a real reason of why you are better.
OK, more than enough said about this.

Bangs, Tessa Dick and stuff
OK, so am I going for the Christiane Amanpour look? Well, maybe. Actually, I am pretty happy with my bangs and so far they are not the least bit annoying. More photos here. My hair is still red, but it only shows up well in the sun. I am surprised how much the scar from my dog bite shows up on my cheek still, but I can live with it. I suppose it shows up in real life too, but compared to what it was I hardly notice it anymore. KC told me that I could call it fringe instead of bangs, but I like bangs better.
Aside from that -- I am trying to come up with questions for an interview (for ufo mag) with Tessa Dick. I have been somewhat busy and mostly distracted lately and I am having a hard time with that. So anyone that has questions for her -- please feel free to post them or email me with them and I will see if I can work them in. Maybe it is the summer sun, but I can't seem to concentrate or think clearly lately. Maybe I am always that way and I just have happened to notice it lately. Anyhow, I hope to finish up the questions for that soon -- surely I can manage that given what an amazing life she has had. Honestly, I don't know what is wrong with me except that I feel like a school girl that wants to play hookie from EVERYTHING. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Your Summer Sense is Touch |
You are a very in tune person, and it doesn't take a lot to overwhelm your senses. You tend to be both mental and physical. Sometimes you need to get moving in order to really think. It's likely that you dream about the hot summer sun all year long, especially during the winter. There's nothing like the feeling of being sun kissed - especially if you can follow it up with a dip in the pool or ocean. |

Nothing of Relevance
It seems that everyone is taking full advantage of summer fun and not posting blog posts. Well, except that TDF news links are less than normal - good for them! I am hoping to take off to higher places (meaning the mountains, not heaven) myself soon. Thinking about Red River or somewhere near Ruidoso, which gives me the choice of north or south, but we will see where I end up and it will probably be the place that has the least fires burning and a decent hotel that allows dogs. :-)
Today my dear friend K.C. is going to cut my hair. Not to worry, she is licensed and everything. I am going to get banged or get some bangs -- is that even the right word? It seems so wrong. Anyhow, I haven't had bangs in years and I decided it might be a somewhat dramatic and fun change. Also, it will cover my huge white forehead. Let's just pretend my forehead is big because my brain is as well. Anyhow, we will see how it turns out. People seem to think I look better with bangs, but I find them rather annoying at least during the time I am getting used to them.
So as you can tell, I am mostly babbling as I wait for the darn dog to come in and I have absolutely nothing of relevance to say, which probably could be said of most of my posts.

For as long as you can remember, you've always performed well, especially in an academic setting. You are curious about the world, and it's likely that you're an expert in at least one subject. You tend to have a few friends that you are especially close to, and your relationships tend to be quite deep. You try to think clearly and rationally. When you have a problem, you solve it instead of wallowing in it. |
That is pretty much wrong! At least the first part. I do crappy in any academic setting, probably because I hate it so much and have ever since 1st grade.

Gorightly and Stuff
The Future Theater interview with Adam Gorightly is available for download and there is also a bonus article (a tribute to RAW) of Adam's available for free download. I highly recommend both the interview and the article.
I also meant to mention a couple days ago that Tim Beckley has published a new book, Secrets of Death Valley, with contributions from Adam Gorightly and Regan Lee.
Also, since I am not updating BTD over the summer -- Tim Binnall has an awesome interview with Paul Stonehill this week. Check that out too!

Stuff
As you can tell by the lack of graphics today -- I have been busy! I wish I could say I was busy working on my own stuff, but I wasn't. For the past 2 days, I was helping Britton get various materials ready for a meeting this morning. Lots of typing, scanning and printing since we were putting together booklet type things. Alvin Greene -- WTF?
So in South Carolina a guy that nobody has ever heard of beat the 4 term Senate candidate. Nobody knows how Alvin Greene even came up with the $10,400 filing fee, as he was unemployed. He told the Washington Post: "I saved the money from the Army," Greene said. "Army, Army, Army, Army money. My personal Army money." Then, he had a question of his own: "Can I get paid for this interview?"
Is it just me, or when someone repeats the same word over and over, like Army, Army, Army, Army, does it seem kind of MK-ULTRAish?
