The Raccoon and the Orbs

Some of you may remember that a while back I thought I had a bobcat visiting my pond. It turned out to be only a raccoon. The footprints I saw must have been one of my cats that had got smeared making it look larger. I think my dog Pooka has finally chased the raccoon away, getting in a few good bites last time he visited. I actually really like raccoons, I just don't like them trying to eat my fish. Anyhow one night Pooka had this raccoon chased up the phone pole and I got a picture of it. The strange thing about the picture is not the raccoon, but the orbs. At first I thought maybe I had a dirty lens, but the next picture I took was fine. I have no idea what the orbs are and there is probably a logical explaination for them, but I thought I would share anyway. You can visit my flickr photo album and click on it for a larger view.

I have never seen anything like that come up in a pic. Rainbow to chemtrail sunset to orbs. The rainbow pic says 10-18-05 but the next two do not have that date..?
We need to see dates for the series of pix..including the next one which is not there.

I have recently been grappling with that question myself. We shot a wedding outside a couple of weeks ago with a high end digital camera and got many orbs in the photos. What am I supposed to tell my customers when this happens? I have been talking to other photo people about this and have yet to get any decent response. It turned what was a simple wedding job into a real pain, as I had to clone a great number of them out of the photos. I know digital cameras have electronic sensors that need to cleaned inside, but ours was cleaned just before the shoot. I have taken pictures since with no problem. It may have something to do with the flash and the lens. I have to get to the bottom of this. When I do, I'll pass the information along.

The sunset one is Oct 26, the raccoon/orb one was taken on Nov 1. I will try to upload the one taken after later.

Gary - this was also taken with a digital camera. The battery was really low at the time, but I don't know if that could have anything to do with it.

I don't think so. My best guess, it is an electromagnetic anomaly either in the camera or in real life. Most digital cameras pick up infrared light, so they are much more sensitive then 35mm. I have only seen them in night pics with a flash. I have heard talk of them being illuminated dust particles from the flash, but that does not seem feasible. I am going to keep investigating.

I think you are probably right about my photo, but I think there are also ones that may be supernatural.

Maybe that is Dani's little angel watching over her.:)

antirj - Don't suppose you have that photo on the web somewhere? It sounds pretty cool.
