I used AOL for several years when I first was online. I can say from experience that they heavily censor internally so email is just a short step more. Most of my antiwar posts disappeared within minutes while racist, vulgar, childish posts remained up, making it seem that there was an overwhelming support for a slanted point of view. When called out on it, it was a "who me?" attitude.
Fascists there.

I haven't used aol since back in the days of win 3.2. I didn't like it back then and I know I wouldn't like it now.
