Name calling fun

I have been called names before, but just boring ones like geek or nerd. So imagine my surprise when I found I was being called a buzzard that feeds on the gizzards of downed ufologists, permanently insane, a bit simple and a man hater, all in one post. I think the man hater part made me laugh the most. What did I say to deserve these fantastic names? I wish I could tell you, but I really don't know. Don't get me wrong I am not complaining. I have found the controversy to be a rather entertaining diversion from real problems like my sister's failing health. I know the person who posted these comments expected I would get very upset about them, but why should I get upset by comments made by someone who is anonymous, that I don't even know and has not a shred of evidence to support these allegations? I know that people who know me just laugh at it and they should because it is a comedy.
As for the owner of this blog, this person wants us to believe he is male, but I believe it is a female. I don't believe that due to the fact that the blog is pink, I believe it due to the sexist comments. Huh, you say? Yes, they are way over the top as though someone wants me to believe they are a man because really they are a woman. Also, the posts and the way they are worded seems far more female to me. I am not saying it couldn't be a gay man, especially given the aversion to women, but ever since high school I have noticed that women are far more mean to other women than a man would ever be.
Should you want to join the fun this blog can be found at http://noconnectiontotherealthing.blogspot.com/. I wasn't sure I should mention the actual link, but wtf do I care?

Consider the source, as nebulous as it is, lift your skirts slightly to preclude soiling the hem, and walk on proudly.

...So, how about those Mets, eh? LOL!

Lesley -

It is very intriguing how people involved in the UFO milieu are so often labeled with avian labels. I suppose it has to do with the "flying" in "UFO", but it still seems odd to me. Pelicanist, the "Aviary", even "loon". :)

But to paraphrase Alfred, consider the dubious source, and shine on!

We are as often...if not moreso...defined by our "enemies" as by our friends, no?

And as for the aformentioned "source", perhaps an appropriate "avian moniker" might be, BOOBIE.

(Whenever I see or hear that word, I'm reminded of Dr. Smith of "Lost in Space" dismissing the robot as a "bubble-headed boobie"). Hey, they flew in a flying saucer, didn't they?

Yet another semi-UFO-related bird reference.

Weird. LOL

Lesley; as usual you’ve approached the matter in a fair, evenhanded way. Pepto-Dismal “Art” and “anonymous coward” are not speaking as human beings of any gender (although I agree that the writer is almost certainly female. Too bad gender-genie is still down.)

It’s trolling for commentary pure and simple. Have you noted “Art” trying desperately to sic people against each other? Someone’s got a huge chip on their shoulder and really wants to see people wriggle around on command. … Pathetic!

Kyle, you’ve said a mouthful. We are defined by the company we keep and who we count as foes are just as important as who we think of as friend. Sometimes we would be astound as to who is which.

Lesley; give my best regards and love to your sister. ..

Thanks all! As I said I am not upset about it, it is just an entertaining diversion.
Dan - you are right, I have never claimed to be a ufologist. I think of a ufologist as someone out taking soil samples and traveling around to sightings, doing actual hands on research something I do not do. I consider myself someone who only speculates on ufos and related topics because I am interested in them.

Very keen observation Rebecca, I had thought the same thing about "Arthur" and the anon poster being the same person.

I have never heard a ufologist ask that question, it is senseless. It would be a stupid question, but not offensive.
