We watched The Illusionist last night. I loved it! Mind you that I have rarely met a historical drama (I have at least a shelf full of BBC/PBS historical dramas) that I didn't like, even if the story sucks I normally enjoy the costumes and sets, but I thought The Illusionist was really good. I didn't hear much about it when it came out so I was truly surprised that it turned out to be such a good movie. I am now looking forward to seeing The Prestige when it comes out in a few weeks.
We also watched Bandidas with Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz, not the best movie, but fun and nice to see some ladies whooping some butt for a change.
Onto TV - 24 starts it's new season this weekend. I am a big 24 fan and have all the previous seasons on DVD. I have my doubts that this season can live up to the last, but I hope that it will. I know Alex Jones and others don't seem to care much for 24, but really last season could have been written by Alex with the evil President and the fake terror attacks.
As I already mentioned I love historical dramas and Rome starts it's second and last season this weekend. I love Rome and will be watching! Ancient Rome is not so different from modern America, so anyone should be able to relate to this show. Yes, I have last season on DVD and I don't replay the naked Mark Anthony part that often. ;-)
