I lived next door at one point to young people who had some pot bellies. It was rural and they ran free as pets. In winter they'd come over and announce their presense through the cat door then come in to lay by the wood stove and play with us and the cats. One matriarch, Begonia, would want to get up on the futon and snuggle. In summer I'd make a mud pool for them to roll around and cool off. I'd collect the pig droppings for the compost pile, (they never messed the house) so it was a two way street. No one can tell me those animals aren't smart, they understood me and I even learned some pigtalk. Jeebus, is this why I chose my blog name??
