Saw something similar over the mouth of the Dosewallips River at Hood Canal at 23:26 on 06-15-13. It continued south over Hood Canal. Got night time, dark and clear security cam video & photos from 10 miles away near the Elliott Bay waterfront at Seattle. Not sure what to do with them. Photos look like your comet-like object photo (100x brighter than the brightest star), and travels much faster than anything else in the air (I estimate about 1800 mph).
