As suggested, I tried taking several other photos to see if I would get the same results. I took these around the same time of day and in the same area as the others. The only real difference was that there was no noise coming from the sky. The first photo is absolutely lens flare. I could actually see it on the LCD when I took the photo and depending how I moved the camera it would move relative to that. The second photo was taken to see if any type of dark orb might show up like in the original, it didn't. I took many of these photos and they are all basically the same. There was nothing really exactly the same as my first group of photos from 2/1. The rainbow orb in the first set is much further away from the sun and higher than the orb in the second and I got no boomerang shapes in any of the new photos. Still, I will say that the rainbow orb from the first set could be lens flare and maybe even the boomerang shaped one. I repost those photos below to let you compare.
