There are 'burnt mounds' (piles of heat shattered stones) in Sutton Park. It is generally agreed that they were stones heated on a fire and then used to boil water for a sauna as there are no remenants of food waste or assosciated paraphenalia. Some of these stones have turned up in a local road as considered waste were put to other use.
