I am pretty picky about my Neil Gaiman stuff and Stardust was not as good as reading the book. That being said, it was really good, especially if you like fairy tales. Robert De Niro was amazingly funny as Captain Shakespeare. Another cool thing was that there were previews for Neil's next movie "Beowulf" before Stardust, so it was like a double dose of Gaiman goodness.
I think Britton liked the movie a bit more than I did, but that is probably because he hadn't read the book.
