My niece Jayme stopped by yesterday with my little nephew (great nephew actually) Ricky. Jayme is the daughter of my sister Debi who passed away last October. Anyhow we were talking and Jayme said I should come out to Las Lunas this weekend or sometime soon and we could go out to dinner and hang out. I said that would be great and then Jayme looked at me strangely and said "I don't want you to freak out when you come over to the house though." I asked why and she told me it is because my sister is still there and haunting her. She lives in what used to be my sister Debi's house. She said she has actually seen a white misty form floating through the house. She also hears loud banging noises, which is quite a feat for anyone alive or dead because Jayme is almost totally deaf. While I don't believe that most haunting are actually the spirits of the dead, my sister would be just stubborn enough to refuse to go into the light so she could stay and look after Jayme and her grandchildren. Debi was always worried about dying and not being able to look after Jayme and the kids. Jayme is bipolar and isn't known for making the wisest decisions, which is why she no longer has custody of my niece Mina. I don't want it to sound like Jayme is a bad person, she isn't, she just has problems.
I will go out there sometime soon. I have not been to Debi's house since she passed away. Honestly, I would love to see my sister again even if it is in the form of a white mist. I don't know what to do if I am totally convinced she is still there. Do I try to make her go into the light? If she is as stubborn as she was in life I would never be able to convince her to do that.
Anyhow, I find myself looking forward to a visit to Las Lunas.
