Kucinich: 'I did' see a UFO -- He is still my man!

My man for President, anyhow. Those of you who read Grey Matters yesterday know I was wondering if my favorite Presidential Candidate would fess up to having seen a UFO. Since I like Kucinich because I feel he is the most honest of the candidates, I was really hoping he would, otherwise I would have been disappointed in him. He brought up Roswell, which is a no brainer, but he also mentioned Exeter, NH, which is something only a true UFO buff would know about. I like Kucinich even more now. I loved his joke too -- "More people in this country have seen UFOs than I think approve of George Bush's presidency," true and funny. I did notice his tale was not quite so grand as Shirley MacLaine made it out to be. I think this was done after listening to his advisers. I can't really blame him for it, I am sure people have already started with the jokes about drugs from what little he did say. I also believe that referring to Exeter was his way of letting others who think there is something to this UFO mumbo jumbo know that he is with them, even though he can't say as much as he would like to.
My Governor, who I do like, but will not be voting for, dropped the ball again. After the debate he made a statement about how the government has not come clean on ufos. That was fine, but then he followed it up by making sure everyone knew that he did not believe ufos were piloted by aliens. Although I like Governor Richardson he is often so diplomatic and trying to please everyone that he is wishy washy.

So there you have it, a bit of a Grey Matters follow up.

Happy Halloween to all!!!

As much as I hate to admit it, it seems a bit too much like wishful thinking that a candidate intent on opening the whole affair on UFOs would stand a chance of becoming the next President. Speaking from a European perspective, even the disclosure of Russias investigations into UFOs hasnt really changed much. I remember Reagans comments about an alien threat and "aren't they already among us" double speak I know and it doesn't actually prove anything for or against.

Personally I like to think that UFO retrieval in the 40's is what started the digital age.. the advancements made over the past 60 odd years do not compare with anything before it! Which speaks volumes in itself.

It's significant that he'd tell the truth as he saw it even as it hazards him with the mouth-breathing juice-drinkers, all who prefer duplicity apparently. Fact is, as a nation of people falling short? We don't deserve Kucinich. He makes that plain every time he opens his mouth.

Having seen four or five "Unidentified Flying Objects" myself I do not see how in the world that could make a person look bad in the eyes of the public. Saying you have seen an UFO is a far cry different from saying that little gray creatures got into your house while you slept, beamed you aboard their craft and proceeded to anal probe you. While I am far too right to vote for the man, I really think it would be a disgrace for the man to lose votes because of this.

Hi Lesley,
My husband just told me about this not more then 30 minutes ago. Bravo to Mr. Kucinich for coming forward. But will too many nay-sayers make this a big issue? I think those who really run our governments will see to it he is made to look like a nutter. I say he is not. I am a firm believer myself. I was married to a man in the military and had a friend who worked for the D.O.D. we know what we saw and experienced.

Great blog. I enjoy stopping by and reading your great articles even though I may not comment .

I like Kucinich, he's the one I'm voting for. I like the way he handled the UFO questions; stuck to his convinctions, yet also said "what does this have to do with policy?" kind of thing.
