There's a definate change in Britain. Anything unconventional is viewed as possibly illegal. Police will quiz you simply for 'being out late' or looking at the police helicopter. It was flying over my house with the 'nitesun' on, of cause I was looking at it why is this considered suspicious? Incidents aren't attended by a police car with backup called as required as they used to be. Now, cars and riot vans turn up on mass and men in black combat jackets jump out, barely recognisable as police. I know to a certain degree this is a defensive response to increasing violence, but it is way over the top and often causes more trouble than the softly softly approach.
