I was quite upset to hear about Terry Pratchett's early onset alzheimer's disease. I actually vaguely knew someone who had that and they were dead within two years. Maybe some of the new meds help? I hope so. I truly wonder if this so-called early onset isn't really mad cow disease or something quite different from the other form and with different causes. It is not only early onset, but seems to destroy it's victim quite a bit quicker than common alzheimers. My grandmother had the common kind and she lived about 10 years with it as compared to 2 for the guy with early onset. Who would think of a brilliant man like Pratchett getting such a thing? It is almost unimaginable. It is at the very least depressing.
Now I am trying to think of something to say to cheer myself up. hmm...
Nothing much is coming to mind.
As always there are new show listings at Beyond the Dial.
Tim Binnall should be having a major announcement sometime soon. A small hint, it involves late nights. Who said pimp?
