I used to get telephone polls until I finally put my foot down and said this household does not participate in polling. I did that a couple of times and now, no one presents themselves as a pollster.
My reasons for no polls is that you are forced to accept the lesser of whatever evils they are offering which in my case, is not on. If you refuse to be pigeon holed into their little psych trap, they ignore you anyway.
