This and That

I am totally exhausted tonight and I have no clue why. We went thrifting yesterday, but that shouldn't have made me this tired.

My big finds yesterday were a few very nice art books, for $2 each and a amazingly ornate brass lamp for $25. The lamp has these little heads coming out of it that look very much like some greek god, claw feet and some very nice scroll work and other ornamentation. I didn't need it, but how can I pass up a lamp like that for only $25? Britton bought a cool old spelter (pot metal) statue of Richard the 1st on horseback with his sword drawn and some other cool stuff. The statue was a steal, I would date it to the early 1900's.

The guy at the thrift store thought we were "movie people." He explained that movie people shop there a lot looking for vintage stuff for whatever film they are working on. We explained that our stuff would be going on the set we know as our house.

I have a new post at Lesley Land, about Hillary Clinton's lack of color.

I am going to get some sleep now. I am tired of listening to myself yawn.
