Yesterday I finally got around to buying my new Apple. I have gone back and forth for months about which one to get and I finally totally made up my mind and got the 250 gb MacBook. Not as thin and light as the AirBook, but it still only weighs 5 pounds, has a lot more memory and was cheaper. I also bought Parallels, so I can still run all my favorite windows software and iWork because one of the bad things about Macs are that they don't come with a word processor program and that is something I must have. I did a bit of playing with it earlier and downloaded some must have things like a firefox browser, google toolbar and some of those adorable apple widgets. Haven't loaded the software I bought yet, but I will get around to it soon.
It has been years since I had an Apple. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but Mac is just so much smoother to use than Windows. I had forgotten that. Best of all, no constantly having to update virus programs! I don't mind that for my desktop pc because it is constantly on and automatically updated, but I get annoyed when every time I want to use the laptop I have to wait while it updates everything and restarts before I can actually use it. It has made it so that I never use my laptop unless the desktop is not working. Hopefully that will change now and I will be sitting out in the warm sunshine typing emails. :-)
If that wasn't enough excitement for me for one day, it was also the 2 hour season finale of Lost. It was a GREAT finale and I will probably write a bit about it tomorrow when I have had more time to think about it.
