I have a new post at WOE called Sexist Esoterica. I stick by my point that more men need "logical answers" and that most women understand that not everything is logical and can live with that fact.
That said, don't take it to mean that I hate men or think they are idiots because I love men. Some of my very best friends have always been men. I sleep with a man and so on. I am in no way saying that men are stupid, only that they may be genetically programmed differently than women. Even then, it is a broad generality and not meaning all men or all women. Hey, both men and women have faults, neither sex is perfect. Because I am a woman I think we are closer to perfect, but I also realize that I could be totally prejudice. Then again, maybe I know how perfect women are and I am trying to be modest. :-) I watched Meet the Spartans last night and even though I am not gay -- I am pretty sure that Carmen Electra is almost perfect. I admit it, I have a crush on Carmen, which makes no sense because I don't want to have sex with her, but still at the same time I like looking at her, even the way she speaks and especially the way she dresses. That is probably more than you wanted to know. :-)

Lesley, I think we're sexual beings, and we get hung up on labels and divisions and expectations. We expect people to "be" one thing or another: straight, gay. Bi sexual, even, though that sometimes pisses off everyone in both camps. (make up your mind! they say.) You're a pervert or abnormal or a this or that if you _________ (fill in with your own brand of whatever. . .:)
If we step across some line we've drawn for ourselves, we get all freaked out. "Does this mean I'm ...?" we ask, in a panic, sometimes.
We're just sexual beings, and that's that. Why the hell our society is so hung up on this I don't know. . .even with crap like Girls Gone Wild on the one hand, and the freak out over Janet Jackson's breast on the other.
Anyway, completely understand your point about Carmen Electra.
