There would be more ufo posts tonight, but sadly many posts I went through yesterday amounted to nothing more than personal attacks on people. Is that really Ufology? No, it isn't. I would so much rather read people's thoughts on the latest sightings, or a book they just read and just about anything other than attacks on other people in Ufology. Don't they realize how completely boring that gets? Almost everyone does it. Yeah, we get it! You don't agree with so and so -- big fucking deal!
Honestly I don't know how these people were raised, but apparently they were told that saying anything you are thinking as though you have Tourette Syndrome is perfectly fine. Maybe they do have Tourette Syndrome, or maybe it is the heat making them crazy, but it is way overboard to me.
Attacking someone who has attacked you first is perfectly OK -- I want to make that clear. Attacking skeptics or debunkers would also be in that category. Attacking someone who wants to prohibit others from participating because they disagree with them - also OK.
Attacking someone within Ufology that has a different opinion than yours on a certain case - wrong.
Attacking and disagreeing are two different things. Disagreeing is just that - I don't agree with (whoever) about this. Attacking is defaming someone - accusing them of being a fraud or of causing some sort of damage to Ufology.
Do we have to attack others to make a point? No. Can you make your point without ever mentioning anyone by name? Yes, I do it all the time and I am doing it right now.
