Babies, Sleep and Travel

I just had great news! My friend Julie is having a baby! Really Julie is more than a friend, she was an exchange student that lived with my family for a year, so she is like a family member -- she knows all our dirty little secrets. :-) She is also a rock star in Denmark and other parts of Europe, but that is another story.

I should be getting to sleep early because I have less than a week before I leave, but f@ck -- I am just not sleepy. I will have no problem sleeping once I am away from here. For some reason traveling and vacations exhaust me, but there is that morning I have to get up early here and go to the airport and that will probably suck.

Strangely Tim Binnall and I will be in the same state at the same time, but about 200 miles apart and there is no way in my short amount of time there to meet him. I also won't have time to drop in and visit with Greg Bishop or anyone else I know there in Cal. That is a bummer.

As you can tell, travel has taken over my mind. All I can think of is how early I have to get up, what I need to wash and pack and how much I hate flying.

I traveled a lot & it does take a bunch of initial psyching up to get going. Once the first step has been taken, there's not much to do but go for the ride. I hope you don't get sick, but wash your hands a lot. Albuquerque is an interesting airport to fly over, lots to see if you know what you're looking for. Have a good trip!
