Cremation Jewelry

I was just at Facebook and one of the ads that popped up in the sidebar was for "unique cremation jewelry." How positively Victorian! They not only had lockets to hold ashes, but also hair jewelry -- jewelry to hold lockets of a loved ones hair. I miss my sisters an awful lot, but I will be damned if I would wear their ashes or hair. Yes, she says that with some of her sister Debi's ashes on a shelve just above her on the desk. I still haven't decided exactly what to do with those, but I am sure that I won't be wearing them in a locket. They will likely be scattered around my house and some buried to be food for tree roots -- thereby becoming a living thing again, in a sense.

Oh, I suppose we all have our beliefs about what should be done. Perhaps wearing loved ones ashes in lockets make some people feel better. Who am I to judge? Whatever makes someone feel better is probably good.

Still, seemed like an odd thing to be advertising on facebook.
