Some whining about my dentist visit

My dentist visit yesterday was not fun or good. It is my own damn fault because I ditched my last dentist (for good reasons) and then I put off finding another one and I am suffering the consequences. That is the worst part -- that I have nobody to blame but myself and I knew that I was procrastinating way too long.

I didn't especially like this dentist either, but he will have to do for now and at least he gave me Vicodin and some penicillin until he can see me again later this month to do a deep root cleaning. I probably shouldn't say I didn't like him, he may well be OK, it just wasn't a very happy experience. He kept being all serious about how I may lose that tooth. I had very little sleep and pretty much told him that I would be happy to let him pull it out then and there. He was also pissed that I still had my wisdom teeth, but they never hurt and I had no reason to let anyone pull them. If that was wrong it is also my fault because every dentist I have ever had wanted to pull those and I managed to talk them out of it.

There were other things good about this visit -- it let me know that I was right to ditch that last dentist. My teeth did not get that way just in the time since I quit going to him. I was complaining about pain (though it wasn't as bad) in the same place when I was going to him and he said "I don't see anything wrong. I can give you a root canal if you want." Yeah, like I would want a root canal not because I need it, but just for the fun of it! When I told the new dentist that he rolled his eyes like he was thinking -- what a jackass! That is also what I think.

I still miss Dr. Romero, who was my best dentist ever. I have not yet been able to replace him. RIP Dr. Romero!!!

Hang on to those wisdom teeth, there's nothing like having some spares and you never know when you might need them!

I am pretty good at convincing dentists that there is no reason to remove them, so I will try.

Oh, that's how I felt before when I thought I never find one whom I would be comfortable with. You know, I think it's important to feel the convenience every time you go the clinic. Then my mother informed me about the family dentistry (Cookeville, Tennessee area) she considered when my sister and I were younger. I immediately called the Cookeville dentist to have my teeth checked next week. As for your wisdom teeth, I suggest you ask or research about it. I believe in some cases, there's no need to pull them out. I still have mine.
