I will have to see it and decide for myself, but I am a little confused about the various reviews of The Day the Earth Stood Still. I don't mean the reviews by critics, but the reviews within the Ufology community. They vary from great to horrible. Also, according to Stanton T. Friedman -- Seth Shotak was an adviser on it. Yeah, like he would know anything about aliens.
Perhaps it is one of those things (as often happens) that people within Ufology take way too seriously and that is why some seem to hate it. I will go there hoping to be entertained and if there is anything more than that I will be happily shocked. Certain people within "Ufology" don't understand entertainment if it has anything to do with aliens or ufos. They don't understand artistic license and they think things should follow the script that they find the most logical or what they consider to be the facts. They are so f#cking boring sometimes, but they may be right about this film -- I will try to find that out tonight if I have the time and it isn't so cold that I don't want to leave my warm house.
