There was nothing in his recent series that was new or controversial, and besides much bigger, more important opinion makers have admitted UFO sightings. If anything, the series could be faulted for being more show business than news. This is likely the result of empire building by Anderson Cooper, whose ego seems to be growing exponentially and who appears to be who CNN wants as its “brand mascot” for the news organization. This was likely in the works before the series aired because corporate reorganizations are almost always announced after they’ve been secretly in the works for months. And CNN is a corporation first and a news outlet second.
I am sad about this because I like Miles. He is one of the few CNN people on twitter that actually post opinions and real updates instead of just CNN links.
I doubt he was fired because of the UFO stuff, but it seems like something he did knowing that he was leaving and maybe he was afraid to do before. I doubt there was much of anything new in it (I haven't seen it), but I also am sure it isn't that easy to get CNN to agree to a series on UFOs.
I have also heard that Miles had his own ufo sighting. I think I will try to find out more about that.

Miles was pushing for disclosure. He prolly knew something he desperately wanted to share. Let's see what comes of it.
