I'm increasingly disturbed at the direction Britain is taking. I feel spied upon. Not only by CCTV but by the amount of data collected and shared from both government and big business. The police force has become secretive and non communitive, no longer serving the public but seeking to constrain. Although living within a couple of miles of the police station, I rarely encounter any marked patrol cars but have noticed an increase in the number of unmarked ones. The drivers dressed in what can only be described as black combat gear. Whenever there is any incident (including an innocent car accident)the police refuse to say what is going on, citing it as a "Police matter". I've given up telephoning the police when needed because they just don't come anymore. They are no longer public servants... they are now 'the governments men'.
