If I truly thought these were going to used for the good of the public then I would be the first to applaud them. It is clear that they will be misused and add yet another layer of control over the population.
The police will more likely use them for monitoring the public and earning revenue through fines for petty offences.
It seems anything out of the ordinary is considered illegal lately. A couple of weeks ago I was quizzed by the police for taking a picture of a derelict canal bridge in a middle of a field. Apparently I could have been planning a terrorist attack! Really!!? On a tumbledown bridge in a field in the middle of nowhere? Are they kidding?
Last week they wanted to fine me for my cars headlights being "very bright". They wanted to fine me £60 Luckily I knew the exact laws and after 40 mins debate and traffic police backup in order to verify the law I left with a police apology.
