Since I know the news and almost everyone else is focusing on Michael Jackson -- I would like to mostly talk of Farah Fawcett. I was very impressed with Farah's bravery in fighting her cancer and the way she seemed to never give up. I am pretty sure that gave her a couple extra years of life that she would not have had if she just accepted what the doctors told her. The battle was ultimately lost, but I think she still inspired millions of people that are facing (or will face cancer in the future) with her stubborness and dignity. Kudos to her! Wherever she is, she is now free of all pain and burden.
I think I will leave it to Michael Jackson's fans to speak about him. Likely I would only get myself into trouble. I will say this though - I would like to have the real news back.

Farah Fawcett had many friends here in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas.
She often came home to visit the many friends she made during her high school years here.
Farah was Corpus Christi's Hometown Sweetheart and a truly nice person.
Farah will be missed by the family and friends she had here in the coastal bend area.
Her smile made the world a brighter place. It was a blessing to know her.
Farah's star will always shine bright over Corpus Christi bay.
