Fed Ex - the worst shipper in the shipping business!

This has nothing to do with anything, other than I need to blow off some steam.

I would rather leave this complaint at the Fed Ex site, but of course they have nowhere to email complaints. Not that it matters if they pay as little attention to those as they do phone calls.

For about the last 2 - 3 years I have had such problems with Fed Ex that I stopped ordering from any company that uses them. However, when you order from a 3rd party at Amazon you don't always think to or have a way to find out what shipper they use.

I knew that my new juicer was suppose to arrive yesterday and when it didn't I checked amazon. To my horror I found that it had been sent Fed Ex. I already knew what had happened, but checked the tracking info just to make sure.

You see, ever since Fed Ex became totally reliant on mapquest or whatever the fuck they use -- I have been unable to get my packages. According to whatever they use, my address is further up the hill at a totally different address, so my packages are sent back as having incorrect address. Most times they don't even call to check the address. UPS uses the same map system (so far as I can tell) and yet their drivers are smart enough to realize that it isn't always correct, especially in this area which is outside Albuquerque. So they actually use their eyes and look for my address and most times find it -- what a novel concept, eh?

I have literally talked to Fed Ex dozens of times, but this information is never ever corrected. Don't they have some way to enter it into their supposedly sophisticated computer system? No, apparently not!

So now I guess I will have to email 3rd parties on Amazon to make sure the DON'T use Fed Ex before I order from them. Such a pain in the ass!

Dang, that's a frustration and a half.

Do you know anyone at UPS who can call them and complain for you? :)

Competition typically embarrasses them, especially if it's from UPS.

Better yet, have you physically gone into a Fed-X in town in person. I have a feeling you would scare them into doing something about it. lol

That stinks but I've got one even better. In 1989 a friend of mine used my car one night. She returned about 6am. I know that because of a loud "BOOM" sound outside my window. It sounded like a bomb. I looked out and saw fire coming from under the hood of my car.

I immediately called the fire department who showed up after about 30 minutes and they're only about 2 miles from me. I was pregnant and sicker than a dog from morning sickness so just stood back and watched it burn since I couldn't do a whole lot about it. I was even throwing up bile in the driveway I was so sick. lol

I was living in a newer complex that was about a year old and the fire department still hadn't added those streets to their maps. Scary thought. We're not talking about a remote desert location here either it was in the City of Huntington Beach, CA off of Beach Blvd., which is a major thoroughfare in Orange County.

I was previously in the process of selling the car so when my insurance was due (like a week prior) I only got what was required by law.

The car was a white 450 SL Mercedes convertible with major bucks in like gold trim and some euro add ons so I lost everything.

Thinking about the situation years later I realized that I could have sued the fire department.

The car caught fire because I had just had an exhaust flange replaced two days prior and in the process of working on the exhaust, whatever nimrod was working on my car pushed my fuel injector lines out of the way improperly, which caused a snowball of things to occur.

That was what the fire department's forensics guy told me anyway after I told them that I had just taken the car in for the flange replacement.

The fire department had a forensic guy out there due to the value of the vehicle. He spent about three hours looking at the damn thing and I didn't know why until he asked who the insurance company was. I told him I didn't have fire insurance. He said, I wish I knew that because I'm here to make sure it wasn't arson for insurance. lol Hey, nobody asked, they just assumed that I was a thief I guess.

Also, not thinking again - dummy me could have gone back to the car repair shop too for damages but I didn't. I just ate the car.

So much for maps.

About three or four times I have called my road service (GM Motor Club) out for either a flat tire, locked keys inside car, etc. This is over about a 4 year time frame. They STILL don't have me on their maps and the drivers always have to call me directly to find out where I'm at - even though I tell the woman on the phone who is taking the initial order that I'm not on their map their using so give the driver my cross streets. Same problem as yours and it's map quest also.

Does Fed-Ex use Twitter? If so use that to complain.
