Death Worms! As a kid growing up on Long Island I'd go fishing a lot and used a big worm for bait. They were about a foot long with fringes and actually had hooked pincers that would stab your finger like needles if you didn't cut the head off first. I should look them up because I don't even know what they're called. Caught a lot of flounders and blowfish with them.
