It's funny; I started an article about this for TR right after the Olbermann piece aired. My take on it was that as much as we love Keith, like a lot of pundits on the left, when it comes to UFOs, the paranormal or conspiracies, they snicker and mock... they take the position that such fringe stuff is beneath them and only for uneducated dopes.
It is weird the right would be all over something so seemingly off the wall, but then again, we have all kinds of Dr. Evil gene splicing, cloning, glowing green animals, human ears on mice, ---- it's not like the idea is completely out there.
Then there's the whole mythic aspect to this: cows/human, gods/human, the minotuar (sic) - this topic is a juicy one for the Fortean junkie!

I agree. There are all kinds of human/animal/god hybrids in mythology. From just about any part of the world too. Strange coincidence, eh?
