Who cares if global warming is man-made?

I've noticed that some of the better known "conspiracy" types are jumping on a bandwagon about man-made global warming being a hoax. Part of it has to do with some emails that hackers got that were going between climate scientists, but it started before that. I think, as I did before, so what? Seriously, so what if global warming is man-made or not? It doesn't make the carcinogenics and smog any better for living, breathing creatures, which includes humans. I think the thing that bothers me most about this bandwagon is that the people going along with it the most are the same ones that have been claiming for years that the top elite of big business are part of the illuminati. Yet they are going right along with big business and not wanting any of the amount of poison they produce that goes out into the air to be restricted. God forbid that corporations should lose any money! After all, they need that money to pay their CEOs hundred million dollar salaries, we can't have them spend a few million to make their factories more efficient and less polluting. They are such hypocrites. They totally make me ill. As does anyone that would stand up for polluting companies (whether or not global warming is man-made) over the health of the citizens that have to live in this world. Meanwhile, they totally flip over flu vaccines, which I am sure kill far less people than asthma and other health problems that are caused and/or made worse by the filthy air we breath.

As for global warming, the result will be the same whether it is man-made or not. Even if those emails did show true evidence of a hoax (which I don't believe they do), it doesn't change anything, there is still global warming and pollution still makes people sick and causes death.

I'm far from a conspiracy theory buff but 'what if' this group didn't find anything other than what they could have created themselves in order to produce more complacency.

Complacency can be more dangerous than global warming itself and it's incidents such as this one that manifests more complacency in the people each and every day.

It is all very fuzzy logic for certain conspiracy theorist. On one hand they want us to believe the evil Illuminati are the owners and high ups in big corporations and that they control the government. On the other hand, they want us to believe the government is going rogue and causing big corporations to waste money on a hoax. Would be nice if they could get their story straight.

Of course, as I already said that is beside the point. They can make themselves feel better by thinking they aren't contributing to global warming. Yes, complacency. As long as they aren't contributing to global warming everything is just peachy -- no matter the millions of people with health problems that at the very least are made worse by the toxic environment.

I think all of these circular arguments in favor of a highly orchestrated and hidden cabal behind ignorance, are an exercise in wishful and simplistic finger pointing at straw dogs, red herrings and false flags that are essentially in denial that we need a plan, any plan rather than more incoherent babble.

We have already avoided making any community sacrifices for decades, corporate and private, which go hand in hand. Rather than a conspiracy of the Illuminati, we have a confederacy of dunces in control of policy and the tail wags the dog. Self interest versus the greater community good seems to be a lost cause.

Well said Bruce.

Yesterday I picked up an article written by someone pretending to be an alien as he writes this little story. These paragraphs sure ring true.

We have made careful observations about the leadership of Planet Earth, and have some rather mundane conclusions: the few beings who are now in charge are doing a horrendous job of stewardship: egregious selfishness and self-serving actions, crumbling infrastructure, bickering and infighting among leaders, lack of compassion for the less fortunate, loss of precious natural habitats on the planet, squandering of valuable resources in a vain attempt to consolidate them only for the chosen few, the leaders and their offspring. The leaders on Planet Earth have absolutely failed the planet and are directly responsible for its untimely demise. Were we to intercept Planet Earth’s collision course with destiny, we would first annihilate Planet Earth’s leadership. Destroy them and their bloodlines, which have systematically destroyed the planet over the millennia. We have discovered that it is always in a species’ best interest to destroy maladaptive bloodlines, rather than gamble and leave them to evolve.

There is one important, if not extremely unlikely, possibility here, although I confess that I have never witnessed the concept in any other civilization: Planet Earth can reverse its course of destruction by simply killing off its government and major corporate and industrial and banking leaders in toto, then appointing a true council of leaders of mixed race, benevolent intent, and high, thinking intelligence.

END

Isn't that the case though? A lack of benevolence coming from the higher echelon is the major downfall for any country, but few recognize that.

Everything that the writer said above is absolutely so and also, why and where conspiracy theories stem from.
