Some of you will remember that a while back I mentioned being sent a book by Steve Hubbard called The Legend of Roswell. Well, I had just assumed this was a non-fiction book because that is the sort of book I am normally sent. So I got it and then I finally got around to reading it and much to my (pleasant) surprise it was a novel. As fiction, American intelligence pulling off Roswell as a hoax to fool the Soviets was entertaining. Had it been a real theory, it would have likely pissed me off. Because, 1) I don't believe American Intelligence Agencies are that smart (especially back then), 2) As a New Mexican I am prone to believe in Roswell as a UFO story. Yes, that last part is true, I am very bias on this issue. New Mexico loves it's UFO tales!
Last night we watched The Time Traveler's Wife. A good Valentine's Day movie, but not a very good time travel movie. I haven't read the book, so I can't comment on that or whether the movie properly reflected it. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't the time travel movie I had hoped for.
