Barmouth and Angelsey (Menai Straits) are both areas that I've been kayaking. The currents in the Straits as the tides surge around the island are strong enough to pull in all sorts of creatures that would normally lurk in deeper water. The Mawddach estuary in Barmouth has large exposed sandy areas at low tide, perfect for spotting prints. I'll certainly be looking out for any unusual ones next time I'm there...

That is excellent because I know you always have a good camera with you!
