Nothing to do with the esoteric (or maybe it is), but I notice in my Amazon toolbar here in create post they have a link to that "new" Jimi Hendrix CD. Has anyone bought that and what do you think of it? I have been meaning to pop onto iTunes and listen, but I haven't yet.
Our census arrived today. Ick. I really never want to fill those out and send them in, but I tried to not do it one year and they actually send people to your house and pretty much force you fill it out. They bug and bug until you do it. Very big brotherish. What do they think they will learn that they can't already find out if they needed to? Does it just make it easier for them? Although, on a personal level I have found the old census records really helpful in genealogy research.
I was going to try to get to sleep just now, but Pooka (my dog) had a problem with her acid reflux and I had to let her out to eat grass. So I am stuck staying up until she comes in. Yes, I could leave her out and go to sleep, but I don't really like to do that, especially when she is feeling sick. I like her to come in so I know she is feeling better.

From what I've heard, there's two census forms going around, the standard one and then another one that asks more detailed questions, such as salary information and stuff like that. I don't know how they decide who gets the other one. It might be random. But yeah, very big brotherish.
hmm... I haven't opened mine yet so I don't know which it is. I do know that people have mentioned to me that they want your phone # and other things that don't really seem necessary.
Compared to doing taxes, the Census Form felt absolutely benign.
