Post Larry King Thoughts

The Larry King Show was kind of weird last night, even for a Larry King UFO show.  You can find the transcript here if you missed it and I am sure someone will you tube the video soon if you miss the replays over the weekend.  There seemed to be some major dislike of Seth Shostak (and SETI) by David Brin.  Heck, I can totally understand not liking Shostak, but those two were suppose to be (at least somewhat) on the same side, meaning not on the side of the UFO nut Dan Aykroyd.  Brin seemed mostly upset that SETI and whoever else would dare to try to contact aliens without a vote from the entire human race.  Well, and maybe he is right, but I am not sure how exactly that would be done.

I wish the show had been with just Aykroyd and Kaku, two of my favorite people, but really each of them should have a full show to themselves.  David Brin is a great scifi writer, but I could have totally done without him and Shostak on the show.  Dr. Kaku is always awesome and the true voice of reason, unlike the people that think they are -- the scientific fundamentalists that call themselves skeptics.

Anyhow, there wasn't anything earth shaking on the show.  Most of Dr. Kaku's thoughts can be found in his excellent blog post linked right below this one.

Too, a quality person of intelligence and imagination who's not afraid wonder what, how, and why regarding who and when, eh?
