Fortean Detective #1

So I was sent a package by a well known forteanist.  I am not going to say who just yet, possibly I should have permission from this person.  My weird idea is that each day we will look at something else from this package and we will try to find an overall connection or maybe conspiracy.  I can't say for certain if these things are random, even if the person meant them to be random.  We will see if we can find some thread or synchronicity to hold them all together, other than the obvious of fortean.  It is an experiment, please contribute.

Today:  A postcard type of item.  The back says "XOCHITLANEZI (Flowering sunrise on Spring Street).  Acrylic, egg tempera, oil on canvas, 2010, Los Angeles.  Sage@amandasage.com.  www.amandasage.com"

No doubt a visual pun by the artist . . . the woman's face is enveloped in an egg-shaped design and one of the media used to create the painting is egg tempera. In sexual reproduction females produce the eggs, so eggs are an overtly feminine symbol.

Doubt there's any Forteana in that, but it's something . . . .

Very interesting, it reminds me of brain hemispheres. Maybe the female image is bringing it all together. Also looks like magnetic or gravitational fields. What a beautiful and creative painting. I believe it works on more than one level.
