Meh!
So I had planned to be at the Tesla Tech Extraordinary Technology conference yesterday, but I have no clue what is going on with my press pass. I sent a general email to someone there a few weeks ago, they told me that there was no problem for me to get a pass, but I had to email this other person with my info, which I did. I never heard anything from that person, so I emailed them again to make sure everything was cool and still nothing. I suppose I could show up there over the weekend and hopefully I would be on a list, but if I drove half way across town and couldn't get in without paying ($350), which I wouldn't do and can't afford - well, I would be really pissed. So I am not sure what I will do. The speaker I really wanted to hear, John Searl, was yesterday so I am not even sure why I should bother going. If you are putting on a conference like that, it should be somewhat organized. At the very least you should be able to email someone back and tell them we are sending a pass, your name will be on a list or fuck off -- whatever the case may be! I possibly may show up there sometime over the weekend just to harass them if I am not on a list. I have always heard that people that run conferences are disorganized and/or idiots, but I had hoped it wasn't true.

Lesley, that's how it works....they don't mail you the pass normally...I've never been mailed a press pass...it's waiting at the door...I just normally save a printout of the email if there's some confusion. - Gorightly
Yes, there was some confusion about that because the only person I talked to gave me impression they would be sending me one. I just wish there was some way to find out if I am on a list before I drive all the way over there. I will take that email with me when I go -- thanks for that suggestion!
