There's something inherently questionable about photos of airborne objects taken in a storm. Sustained high winds, sudden gusts, updrafts, etc. can lift lots of things into the air that would never "fly" in other circumstances (everything from trash can lids to I once saw a shed roof para-sailing in an intense thunderstorm).
Most likely some mundane, terrestrial object carried aloft by a wind gust.

It kind of made me think of a flying beetle. Almost looks like there's a natural motion blur where wings might be.
