Conference Hiatus and the Big Fat Racist

I have no news links for you today and I there will be none at least for the weekend and possibly a day of recovery from the Wake Up Now conference.  I will try to post photos over the weekend though and I will have my iPad and an internet connection at the conference, so I will probably be updating facebook/twitter and checking email throughout the conference.

However, I do have something bothering me that I just have to comment on.  I don't really like to bring up politics on this blog, but frankly the whole situation of a duly elected President of the US being forced to show his papers has really saddened and also somewhat enraged me.  I am already aware that this will piss off a small percentage of my readers (I have heard from them in the past), but here it goes anyway:

Let me first say that I am not a huge fan of President Obama.  I did vote for him, but I also feel quite let down by his Presidency.  I am a real liberal and I feel he is a moderate Republican in comparison.  Even though it is obvious that Pres Obama was born in Hawaii (part of the US) it also makes no difference to me where he or any other President was born.  Arnie, the former governor of California, was not born in the US and I don't believe that had any relevance to how he acted as governor.

Of course, Arnold is white and I suppose that is why nobody seemed to care where he was born.  In fact, I remember many Republicans wanting to change the law so that he could run for President.  Of course, that was back when he was popular.

So there was our President on TV today, having to show his papers.  It was shameful!  This entire country should be ashamed that it went that far!  And why?  Because of some wealthy media whore can't stand to not be the center of attention.  Even worse, to have a black man running things.  Yeah, I said it - Trump is a big fat racist.

Oh, and the birth papers are not enough for him.  He also wants transcripts from schools.  It will never be enough for him as long as his constant whining brings him attention.

Back during the Bush years, myself and many others wondered if Bush had really deserved to go to Yale or if it was just because his family has connections.  We formed our own opinions about that and moved on.  It didn't really matter, what did matter was the things he was doing then -- not 30 years before.  To my knowledge, even though many people publicly stated the opinion that there had been favoritism involved in him being allowed to enter Yale - Bush was never forced to provide paperwork showing that he did get in there on his own merit.  Where was Donald Trump (Corsi and others) then???

IMO, Donald Trump was perfectly comfortable with that.  After all, that is how undeserving rich (white) people get into good colleges.  Well, but you know, he has a good relationship with "the blacks," at least so long as they are not getting into colleges that his rich white friends are having trouble buying a spot for their own kids in.

OK, I could go on and on, but enough said about a clown shoe like Trump and those like him.

Things will be back to normal (or what I consider normal) next week. :-)

All of this in a centennial year that marks the civil war and the end of legalized slavery, that many, many knowingly sacrificed their lives for.
The assassinations of MLK and RFK and the recent shooting of a U.S senator, all based on the same poisonous venom of fascist propaganda poised as "patriotism"
I could not believe Trump congratulated himself in public on this. The lowest of the low.

I suppose someone had to pat Trump on the back and the only one he could find that wanted to was himself.

I totally share and 100% support your views. More people who feel the way you do must speak out if we're ever going to stop this 21st Century neo-McCarthyism.

The election of our first African-American President has led to a resurgence of racism in the US, thinly disguised as the Tea Party, deficit reduction ("illegals, non-whites, the disabled, crack babies, and old people are stealing my money"), the "birther" movement, and no doubt further lunacy to come from the stunningly stupid and crazy right wing fringe that has hijacked all politcal debate in this country and taken over the GOP.

Well said Lesley.
I actually despise what the american government has become, and the criminal mobs that come and go, but these birther theatrics are sick jokes, and meant as distractions from what really matters in our lives. Trump is a fatuous media whore, pure and simple.

Both parties are totally beyond hope and totally worthless, IMO.
