Haunted Hill Fire
It doesn't look that bad, but last I heard (around 10 pm) it had went over the ridge and was still burning. Though several miles away (not sure the exact distance) I live on the other side of the ridge, although, I think there is another hill between here and there. The winds are suppose to come up today to around 60 mile per hour gusts, so I really hope that sometime during the night they managed to get it put out. This is the second fire in a couple days to start on "Haunted Hill." The first was found to be caused by some guys playing with toy rockets.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Other than the fire, I haven't much to report.

Hope they put it out. F@ckin' people! Bottle rockets?! As dry as it's been? My Dad lives just to the south on the foothills. Stay safe and bunker down.
Be safe Lesley! (what is it with some people and things that light up and explode?!)
Impossible to find any news about this on a Sunday. Apparently the local news reports nothing until 6 pm. I assume it is out since I don't smell or see smoke, but with the wind so strong maybe it is just blowing it away and that is why I don't see or smell it.
They couldn't charge those guys with a crime, but are going to try to make them pay the cost of putting it out.
How is that fire over in your area Sam? I could see smoke from that one yesterday too.
Well Lesley according to the news the fire down here is only 25% contained. I have to head up to ABQ tomorrow...so I'll be driving right by it. Pretty bad fire near Ruidoso. Still way too windy. This spring sucks.
