OMG! The wind here was crazy yesterday! Measured at 88 mph at the Sandia Tram. I had many adventures driving around and picking up supplies for the incoming cold and snow. While driving I was attacked by dust devils and tumbleweeds that were nearly as large as my car (no, I am not exaggerating the size). Traffic lights were totally blown around and facing the opposite direction of what they should have been. It was totally crazy, but I made it back alive and unharmed.
Blogger for some reason is not letting me post pics tonight. The new version won't even let me create posts and I had to switch to the old version.
The storm aside, I will be really busy this weekend and wanted to alert everyone that there may be one or more days that I don't get time to update this blog. All should be back to normal after Monday.

Winds down here are pretty bad too. Hate wind. Put some rocks in your pockets Lesley or you'll blow away! ;P
I swear that I did almost blow away in the grocery parking lot at Tramway and Central. Luckily I managed to hold my ground, but the wind ended up snatching a roll of paper towels from a bag in my cart and they were airborne and clear across the parking lot within 2 seconds. I don't know where they eventually ended up because I had to get the rest of my stuff in the trunk before anything else blew away, while dodging stray carts and trying to keep the trunk from blowing shut on my head. :-D
Rush Limbaugh should shut his pie hole, and I suspect the wind would stop, eh?
I didn't know you live in Albuquerque. That's where I am from! Love it there, and miss it very much especially the food. But thanks to UPS I have 50 lbs of green chili in my freezer every august! PS Al Rush Right!
