I have been hearing sky sounds on and off for 3 or 4 years now. Can't say that I have heard them more lately, but it is winter and I am inside with noise like the TV most of the time. And no, I am not the one watching TV most of the time. :-)
As a mystic of God, I can tell you what these eerie sounds are. They are ancient Israeli trumpets combined with the cries from Hell because they will soon be let loose on earth by the Antichrist who comes to power mid 2012. These are the 6th Trumpets of Salvation (Read Book of Revelations) which are the final call out by God for people to save themselves and go back to him before the 7th Seal is opened later this year.
