This ugly phenomena is of particular interest to me. I spent 20 years in a business where I was outside all the time, and I first started noticing the spray in '97. I'm also a backyard astronomer so I pay attention to the sky.
We've been HAMMERED for years up here in the NW, especially in the spring. The bastards turn beautiful and precious blue skies into a sick, milky soup where you can taste the metallic crap in your mouth. I'm also like a coal mine canary - after a bad motorcycle wreck a lung is still collapsed and I start coughing terribly whenever they start spraying.
The mrs and I like to travel around the west and I've photographed this happening in 5 states at least. The fascists are not our friends, and I have terrible trepidations about why they're doing this to us.

That sounds horrible. I can't say I have ever noticed anything that bad here and I hope that I never do.
