See Al, no reason to search for insults or Kimballisms here.:-)
Seriously, I don't know what bloggers have been calling Alfred such things or why. Shame on you whoever you are!
Now the real reason for this post which is to plug the Strange Days Indeed radio show once again. Not just because they mentioned the Debris Field either, but that didn't hurt. This week was Stuart Miller, British UFO correspondent for SDI. Chris Rutkowski talking about his new book The Canadian UFO report. I had been hoping to hear from Chris somewhere because I have been reading about his book all over the internet. I have to say it sounds very interesting, especially in the fact that it seems to cover very early accounts from the 1800's onward. Then Mr. Lehmberg helps to close out the show discussing milk, ufos, ufo updates, epic poetry and even managing a good swipe at Paul Kimball in the process. Kudos on that Alfred! So pop on over there and download it!

I like Alfred, and don't see him attacking others with insults -- so much as calling things as they are, in very poetic/literary ways. Off beat in the way he states his observations to be sure, but he cuts through thick sheets of b.s. and calls people on their stuff. This isn't anything that a lot of others do, he just does it more honestly, and certainly far more uniquely, than most. For some reason, this bugs a whole lot of people, lol. I think it's because of the main thing: Alfred gets to the point; and when someone is being disingenous (sic) etc. they don't like it.
Meanwhile, sadly, UFO Land is full of people who chide others for being insulting and rude, while at the same time they are insulting others and behaving rudely. Taking cheap shots, etc.
Alfred doesn't do that; he comes up against someone who has put something out there, and he engages them. He confronts, he asks, he calls out . . . he'll say "Well, what about that?!" and he doesn't suffer fools gladly.
I like that about a person.
Compared to others that post about UFOs out here, Alfred is the least offensive, -- certainly among the most honest -- around.
Dan - All political debates are personal because each person is in their way attacking the other's core beliefs. That is why I try to keep away from politics.
I love Alfred's poetic posts. Whereas I always say things in the most direct, easy way possible, he manages to add layers that you have to actually think about what he is saying. I do not have that skill and yes, I admire it.
Lesley, that's a good point you made about politics being personal; of course it's personal! The same for UFOs; especially if someone has encountered strange things with UFOs, etc. -- it isn't anything _but_ personal.
Yes, politics and ufos have a lot in common. In both cases opinions are mostly formed from personal experiences. I know I could turn this into a really long post, but I will stop there.
Lesley & Regan; thanks for the vote of confidence, the kind words, and the brave assessment. I'm certain the plug to SDI is appreciated, too. Know that my appreciation for you exceeds any you might have for me. Your checks are in the mail. [g].
Dan: Sir, you didn't make your points. That's the beginning of it, and the end.
Simple politics? ROTFL! That's pretty simple, abundantly uninformed, and intellectually immature. I've nothing for which to apologize, I suspect.
Say what you _want_, Sir. Perhaps then we'll be able to see what an attack really is. You won't find one parsing me. If you're going to bump gums then you should be able to make your points. You couldn't. That, Sir, is the provenance of your irritation with me... ...nes't ce pas?

Ah... I rest my case. I've investigated/researched psycho/sociopathy. You?
http://www.alienview.net/conspire.html
No... there is NOT a big difference between the two, at all.
psychopath: A person with an antisocial personality disorder, manifested in aggressive, perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior without empathy or remorse.
Sociopath: One who is affected with a personality disorder marked by antisocial behavior.
Notice that there is more similarity in the definitions than divergence. The definition provided for psychopath is more specific is all.
...And from a lecture by Dr. Forest Petry at Troy State University it was reported that there is essentially no difference between psychopathic and sociopathic persons and that to qualify as either? One must first be sane.
Do you consider yourself sane, Sir?
Note the word "or" in the definition of psychopath leaving all the wiggle room you get.
All that said, are we to be treated to yet _another_ opportunity of looking down at our plates in embarrassment for you because of your pathetic inability to make your points?
..."fat, lazy, waste of skin..."?
Name-calling? Is that the best you can do? Tsk...

Oh -- and again. If college didn't change you? You missed a golden opportunity.
The clearly discernible and recorded transition from a "more ignorant state" to a "less ignorant state," is really what makes us open, effectual, and productive human... *beings*... aspiring to even greater states indicated in the accelerating approach of the future you seem to resent, and a retreat from that psychopathy you don't seem to know anything _about_.
I won't apologize for the results of what is really your own contempt of self, I'm betting, nor will I indulgently suffer same. I think this is pretty clear, huh?
This is to say we'll go point for point, the ice is going to get real thin for you, and when you break through, finally, you'll discover that the only persons able to help you out are the ones you've been working so hard to piss off, insult, and discount.
And why? ...Because they (I) won't validate your "I've got mine" paradigms.

...One more thing.
It's a thought I'm sure has occurred to others, but the US as the 21st Century Rome occurred to me as it would to anyone with a sense of history... ...beyond that which they refused to gain in a college experience they proudly proclaim didn't change them, Eh?
Along those lines I am reminded how much GWB resembles those lead-poisoned, mendacious, degenerate, and truly psychopathic Emperors at Western Rome's fall.
And on many different levels too...
In closing let me say that I suspect that I am a much better American that you are, and one who loves his country in a more mature manner than do you.
