Not much. Trying to enjoy this last part of summer before my favorite season of Fall, but the rain in making it hard to get much enjoyment out of it. I am reading Nick Cook's "Hunt for zero point," Loren Coleman's "Bigfoot: The true story of apes in American" and Amy Tan's "Saving fish from drowning." Both Hunt for zero point and Bigfoot have turned out to be even better than I expected. I don't know if there are other Amy Tan readers reading this, but Saving fish from drowning, is a bit different than her other books. Not that I am in the least disappointed with the wondrous Ms. Tan. The entire story is told from the point of view of someone who is dead and watching things going on here in the realm of the living. It isn't a broad story, concentrating on a group of the ghost's friends who have went ahead with a tour of China that she was suppose to lead before her death. It is obvious that the group is going to meet a not so pleasant fate, but I haven't got that far yet. To me, Amy Tan's books are always as magical as any fairy tale you could read. She is brilliant! Without a doubt, one of my favorite fiction writers.
So that is what I have been doing during these rainy days and nights when I am afraid to have the computer on.
