The World Revolves Around...

In listening to Richard C. Hoagland on The Kevin Smith Show last night, I think I finally put my finger on why Hoagie is so funny, entertaining and annoying.
He kept going on and on about how they (those in power) are conducting wars and other things to divert our attention from realizing there are ruins on Mars, the Moon and so on. I don’t think Hoagie gets it. While there are a lot of people who listen to c2c, or actually may care about ET civilizations, the majority of the world doesn’t. If there were no wars and everything were peaceful and perfect, it is still highly unlikely that most people in the world would care or even know anything about so called ruins on Mars. Still Hoagie seems to think that everything on the entire planet earth revolves around the “fact” that there are these ruins. There is something so egotistical and humorous in Hoagland thinking everything on the planet is done in order to hide his research and “the truth.” Everything from the prices in an Old Navy ad to invading Iraq were done to cover up the evidence that long eons ago there may have been a civilization on another planet. Doesn’t he realize how ridiculous that sounds? Apparently not and that is funny too.
Nothing of what I just said means that I don’t believe there could be ruins on Mars and wherever else. My point is that there are many created diversions (not to mention all the natural ones, work, family and so on) on planet earth, but there are many different things they want people diverted from and I think ruins on Mars are probably pretty far down the list. Then again, I could be totally wrong and the chart above may be totally correct.

It's also ironic because there's a question about some UFO hysteria being a diversion from more mundane things the government would like to keep from us. Let's say we crashed some research planes in New Mexico in the late 40's.... Hmmm....

I have heard the thought that the government puts out ufo tales to keep us from looking at other things. That may at times be the case. I am sure a ufo sighting can work for or against the government interest, depending on what else they are trying to hide.

Hoagie does have have that outspoken, opinionated personality that makes me love him and hate him at the same time. That he's not afraid to go out on a limb is his best quality IMO, I just wish he'd not automatically expect us to crawl out there with him and then cry coverup when we don't.
