As you might have noticed, no Grey Matters this week. Sometimes writing is tricky. I did actually write a Grey Matters for this week, but when I finished I wasn't entirely happy with it. There were a couple reasons for that, but #1 was that I felt I wasn't getting out what I really wanted to say and I couldn't quite figure out how to do that. It will come to me, I thought, but as the week wore on - it didn't. It still hasn't. I just finished up Grey Matters for next week on an entirely different topic. Perhaps some day it will come to me and then I can finish it up. Of course, who knows how many writing projects I have that are just waiting for me to "finish them up?" For certain there is a lot of those.
Yesterday in the mail I received Paranoia: The Conspiracy Reader, volume 1. I don't remember ordering it and there was no receipt in the package. I remember thinking that I would get around to ordering it, but not doing it. So I don't know if I did or Joan maybe sent me a freebie. It did remind me that I told Joan that I would try to write something for it, but what I tried to write ended up much like the GM that I just mentioned. For that reason I must try harder to come up with something for the next volume.
Aside from writing mishaps that happen all the time, I have been all around "out of it" lately. I don't think I have updated BTD in over a week. I feel so lazy and I blame it on Fall allergies and weather changes, but maybe I am just lazy - you know, more so than normal. Anyhow, I am pretty sure it will pass eventually and I will become a little less lazy and my mind will become slightly more clear. Hopefully.
Maybe it's seasonal because I'm going through very much the same thing. Anything I write about seems boring and forced, even if I am generally interested in something, so I'm trying not to pressure myself too much, even though I'd really like to have something fresh and new for IHW and also WOE.

Oh shit, I forgot I have to write that review too. *sigh*
I am pretty sure mine is allergy related. When I was a kid I would get like this too and they took me to the doctor who told us it was allergies. It seems strange because most people have obvious allergies - sneezing, running nose, itchy eyes and so on, but I don't normally have any of those things. Also, it seems to happen a couple time a year, in the Spring and in the Fall.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, whatever the cause, it will pass for both of us soon.
