This and That

I am still playing around with the blog banner. I like this one better, so I think it will stick around for a while.

I haven't yet watched the George Noory SciFi Special, but the reviews I have read so far were not good. I have it on tape and will probably get around to watching it tonight.

I did watch the season premiere of Rescue Me and it rocked! Not the best season premiere ever, but still really good. No drinking for Tommy (Denis Leary) in this episode, but he does still see ghosts. Maggie (Tatum O'Neil) cracked me up, as always, making her husband watch porn with her. I can't wait for next week! Denis Leary was also on Glenn Beck for the full hour yesterday, it was the only time I have ever enjoyed that show.

Wow - how could you stomach it still? That man provokes projectile vomiting with me. Perhaps Leary salvaged it... but I'd never had known he was on there...

Hi Lesley. I have never seen Rescue Me, but I did watch the George Noory show, and, well...it wasn't terrible. Actually it wasn't bad at all, the problem was it was basically a 25-minute Coast to Coast. They tried to squeeze so much into that short time that the whole show was kind of scatter-brained. George's main guest was Joshua Warren, whom I always thought was one of the duller Coast ghost hunter guests; all he talked about was some kind of computer that captures electromagnetic vibes or something. The best part of the show was Gary Busy, yes, THAT Gary Busy, nuff said. Overall it wasn't bad but it needs work, and I thought the live audience format was unecessary. George is always a great host, but radio is definately his better medium.

Also, I will always have a soft spot for Denis Leary thanks to his No Cure for Cancer album. It was a constant companion during my high school years.

It's not a show that's appealed to me.

Al - It was one of those things where I was flipping channels and came across Denis Leary. Beck was really nice to him, even though Leary wants Lou Dobbs to run for President.

Jarret - I heard the audience thing just did not work. Noory apparently talks with his hands way too much and people didn't enjoy Josh. I will watch tonight and let everyone know what I thought.
Denis Leary is one of the funniest people on earth. I loved the No cure for cancer show and every stand up special he has ever done. You should give Rescue Me a try sometime, though it might be a bit confusing since you missed a few seasons. It is really funny and also has weird paranormal stuff like Leary seeing ghosts, the virgin mary and Jesus.

Always nice when my favorite Enterprise Captain stops by.

Always nice to see Jane too!

Thanks Regan! So far, so do I, so it should be staying.
